There are so many hotels in Lisbon that it is almost difficult to choose one to put the conference participants. . The range of possibilities goes from Hostels at 30 euros to five starts at 150 euros or more for a single room a night. All of them will be reachable by metro in less than 30 minutes or by taxi in less than 15 minutes from the Conference. June being a busy month touristic bookings should be made in advance, let us say in April.
By TrainCome from other Portuguese city by train you may reach Oriente Station, which has also Metro and is also half an hour from the University and central Lisbon. Or you may want to arrive at Santa Apolónia Station, in Central Lisbon and again twenty minutes by Metro from the University.
By Metro (underground)University is 100 meters from Carnide Metro Station in the red line and 500 meters from the Pontinha metro station in the same line. It takes half an hour at worst to get to the center of the city near the river and we don’t need to change. Also the University is in walking distance – 10 minutes – from Colégio Militar a metro station located inside the Colombo Shopping Center one of the biggest in Lisbon.
By BusBus number 26, 50 and 758 stop 50 meters from the University. They pass at least 3 times every hour.
By CarUniversity is located in the upper part of the city, less than 1 km from the Estádio da Luz, Benfica Soccer Club Stadium, the very well known club. And the Stadium is served by Avenida Lusiadas, a very new road that links with the main central streets.
By TaxisTaxi market, and let us say the Tuk Tuk market and the Uber market has been rising and it is very easy and cheap (average 10€) to go from central Lisbon to the University.
