Lisbon has a "special light". It could be called "the city of lights" but the name was already taken... This light is also due to the presence of the River and the limestone buildings that transform Lisbon into a unique and memorable place to visit. Departing from our pick up place, we will do a panoramic visit of Lisbon's downtown, know as "Baixa": Marquês de Pombal, the Avenida da Liberdade, the Rossio and Commerce Square.
Next Visit to the old town of Alfama which is one of the oldest and most typical quarters of Lisbon, located on one of Lisbon's 7 hills. Watching Lisbon form the Castle is an overwhelming experience! You can see the River, Lisbon, Christ the King and so on. Before going to Belém, it's compulsory a short walk in Alfama, to feel the vibrant life of this typical quarter with FADO houses, its narrow streets and smell of grilled sardines! Next Stop: Belém.
Belém is known as the "monumental zone of Lisbon". It was from Belém that the adventure of the Portuguese Discoveries started, when the Portuguese "gave the new Worlds to the World". It's here that you find some of the most important Monuments of Lisbon like the Monument to the Discoveries, Belém Tower and Jerónimos Monastery.
